1. What inspired you to work in the travel industry?

    My background is actually in clothing design. After 4 years in clothing design and production I moved into a trainee buying position for a large retail company in SA
    and have remained in a buying role ever since. 30 x years later, I am still buying, so it is not specifically the travel industry that inspired me to work at TRS but the
    buying portfolio itself. – dealing with global suppliers and products.

2. What do you enjoy the most in your role here at TRS?

    I have been at TRS for 12 x years now! If I didn’t like what do, I most definitely would have had to move on years ago but I like looking for the best products possible
    and it is very satisfactory when products that I have sourced and listed are a great success.

3. What does a typical day for you look like?

     Many, many emails and meetings!

4. What is your favourite travel destination?

    I love the bush and go to various game reserves at least twice a year but my favourite place in the world is a little piece of paradise call Plettenburg Bay in SA’s
    Eastern Cape. A beautiful seaside town with 6kms of pristine beaches to walk on every day, dolphin watching, great restaurants and it is where my mother lives and
    where I am going to retire someday.

5. What do you enjoy doing outside work?

    I love socializing and entertain a lot at home. My biggest joy though, is to dance – it is the most wonderful stress release and very good exercise. If there is a dance
    floor – I am on it.
